Add Korean Lash Lifts to Your Menu
A Korean lash lift sweeps the lashes upward onto a flat shield rather than wrapping them around a curved rod. The result is length and projection, with lashes lifted up and out, rather than a curl. It's an industry technique that Elleebana uses and teaches, and it gives you an answer for clients a traditional lift doesn't serve well.

Who a Korean Lash Lift Suits
Clients
Korean lifting is usually the choice for:
- Coarse, dense, downward-growing or resistant lashes
- Clients whose lifts have dropped early
- Monolid and hooded eyes, where a curl can fold under the lid
- Clients who want a longer, straighter, more open look
It isn't the right choice for a client who wants a classic, soft curl. A traditional lift on a rod is still the better service for them.
Why salons add it
Korean lifting lets you say yes to clients who've been told their lashes "don't lift well," and it sets your menu apart from studios that offer only a traditional lift. It's an advanced technique that takes more time, care and precision than a traditional lift. Artists who learn it usually pick up the related methods at the same time:
- Freestyle: the lotion goes on while the lashes rest downward, for a gentler lift on fine or fragile lashes
- Glueless: the Freestyle order, held with thickened lotion in both steps instead of adhesive
- Hybrid: the Korean method on a rod or hybrid shield, for a rounder curl
See all of them on Techniques.
Which System Fits

Elleeplex Profusion
the recommended system
Elleeplex Profusion is the recommended system for Korean, Freestyle, glueless and Hybrid lifting. Its cysteamine chemistry, with no thioglycolate, still processes quickly, but more measured than One Shot, which suits the flat, extended work of a Korean lift. The same lotions also laminate brows.

Brik & Pearl
an option alongside Profusion
Brik & Pearl works with every technique, as an option alongside Profusion. It's three steps (Bond Flex, Bond Lock and Lash Life Volume Filler) with ReGen used alongside, in 10ml airless pump bottles.

What about One Shot?
One Shot isn't the preferred choice for Korean lifting. Its fast chemistry is built for the traditional lift. Compare all three on Compare the Systems.
Whichever lotions you use, Korean lifting relies on Elleemix Powder. It thickens the lotion so it stays where it's placed and holds the lashes upright on the shield.
What You Need to Get Started
The Korean Lash Lift Pack
The Korean Lash Lift Pack puts the core products in one box:
- Elleeplex Profusion Lift and Setting lotions (the standard 5-pack refill)
- Elleemix Powder
- Elleebana Ultra Flex Flat Shields
- Elleeplex ReGen
The pack isn't a full starter kit. It has no rods, adhesive, cleanser or application tools, so it works best if you already have a lash lift setup. Starting from scratch? Pair it with the Elleeplex Profusion Starter Kit.
Forms and tools for the re-wrap
After softening, the lashes come off the flat shield and are re-wrapped to set. Have these on your station:
- Flex Hybrid Shields (rods aren't for hooded eyes in a Korean lift, so lead with shields)
- Elleebana Lift Lockers
- Elleebana Silicone Tape, Elleeluxe Foam Patches and Makeup Remover
Shop everything for the technique in the Korean Lash Lift collection.
Aftercare to retail
- Elleevate Lash Lift Mascara, which can go on immediately after the lift
- Elleeplex Clear Aftercare Mascara
- Elleeplex Hyaluronic Boost Serum
Training

Korean lifting needs hands-on practice before it goes on a menu. Elleebana certification isn't required to buy the products, but we recommend it.
- Online Elleebana Korean Lash Lift Techniques covers Korean, Freestyle and adhesive-free methods, from consultation through aftercare and troubleshooting. It's self-paced, and you can add the Korean Lash Lift Pack when you enroll.
- In-Person Elleebana Korean Lash Lift Techniques is the hands-on phase of certification, completed after the online course.
- The Art of the Lift webinar walks through Freestyle, Korean and glueless lifting.
All three are listed in the Korean Lash Lift collection, along with Elleeplex Profusion training and Brik & Pearl training. We teach in-person classes in Santa Barbara, Reno and Nashville (Nashville with Taylor), and we can bring a course to your salon or school, with travel quoted separately. See hands-on courses, online courses and Education. Training requires a current cosmetology or esthetics license, or current enrollment in an esthetics program.
Who Can Buy
The Korean Lash Lift Pack and lifting lotions are sold to licensed cosmetologists and estheticians, and to students currently enrolled in an esthetics program. Shields, forms, tools and disposables are open to anyone. See Who Can Buy.
Common Questions
- Is the Korean lash lift an Elleebana technique?
- No. Korean, Freestyle, glueless and Hybrid lifting are industry techniques. Elleebana uses and teaches them.
- What if the lashes won't stay on the flat shield?
- Freestyle is the usual alternative. The lotion goes on while the lashes rest downward.
- Can a client wear mascara afterward?
- Elleevate Lash Lift Mascara can go on immediately. A regular mascara should wait 24 to 48 hours.
- Can I add a brow lamination to the same appointment?
- Yes. Profusion and Brik & Pearl both laminate brows.
