Add Lash and Brow Tinting to Your Menu
Tinting is one of the easiest services to introduce. It's quick to learn alongside a lift or lamination, it needs very little room on your station, and it gives clients definition that lasts without daily makeup. This guide covers who tinting suits, which tint to stock, what to order first and how to get trained.

Who Tinting Suits
Clients
Lash and brow tinting is a good fit for clients who:
- Have light or fair lashes and brows that disappear without makeup
- Want definition without daily mascara or brow products
- Are booked for a lash lift or brow lamination, since tint is its own step after the lift or lamination and fits into the same appointment
Why salons add it
Tinting is a natural add-on to every lift and lamination you already do. Clients who see their lifted lashes with color tend to ask for it again, and a tint gives a new client a simple first service to try before they book a lift.
Which Tint Fits
We carry three tinting systems. They use different color chemistry, so each one is used only with its own developer and products. See them all in Lash & Brow Tints.

Belmacil
lashes and brows
Belmacil Tint is a Swiss-formulated cream tint for lashes and brows. Belmacil is its own company, owned by Elleebana. Six shades are available in the US: Black, Blue Black, Dark Brown, Light Brown, Honey Brown and Graphite. It develops with Belmacil Crème Oxydant, a 3% cream developer, and should never be mixed with another brand's tint or oxydant. Because it covers lashes and brows, it's the usual choice after a lash lift or lamination, and the tint most studios restock first.

Infinity Aqua Drops
brows only
Infinity Aqua Drops is a brow-only tint in seven intermixable shades, used on its own or after a brow lamination. It develops with the Infinity Hybrid Tint Oxidizer or the Infinity Liquid Tint Spray Oxidizer. Infinity is an independent brand, not an Elleebana product. For lashes, use Belmacil.

RefectoCil Intense Brow[n]s
a gel system
RefectoCil works on lashes and brows. RefectoCil Base Gels come in four shades and develop with the RefectoCil Intense Activator Gel. The Intensifying Primer is an optional brow step, and the Intense Brown Remover removes staining from RefectoCil products only.
Elleeplex Profusion tints aren't sold in the US.
Some artists set and tint in one phase with Monofusion™, a technique that combines the setting step with tint. Ask Ellee about the products it uses.

Training

Shade selection, mixing and timing are covered in Elleebana and Belmacil training. Elleebana certification isn't required to buy tint, but we recommend it.
- Tinting is covered in our lamination courses. On One Shot training and Elleeplex Profusion training, the Tint Kit Upgrade adds a Belmacil Mini Tint Kit, so you can offer tinting from day one.
- See hands-on courses, online courses and Education.
We teach in-person classes in Santa Barbara, Reno and Nashville (Nashville with Taylor), and we can bring a course to your salon or school, with travel quoted separately. Training requires a current cosmetology or esthetics license, or current enrollment in an esthetics program.
Who Can Buy
Tints and developers are sold to licensed cosmetologists and estheticians, and to students currently enrolled in an esthetics program. Tools and disposables, such as the eye guard, paper eye shields and the Elleepalette, are open to anyone. See Who Can Buy.
Common Questions
- Which tint should I use on lashes?
- Belmacil or RefectoCil. Infinity Aqua Drops is for brows only.
- Can I tint right after a lash lift or lamination?
- Yes. Tint is its own step after the lift or lamination, so it fits into the same appointment.
- Can I mix brands?
- No. Use each tint only with its own developer and products. Never mix Belmacil tint or Crème Oxydant with another brand.
- What about a client who has reacted to a tint before?
- Patch test first, and talk it through with your trainer before choosing a tint.
